Duties include but are not limited to:
Posting all accounting transactions and raising invoices in accordance with SAR
Producing daily/weekly/monthly audit trails and reports. This will include management reports, bank, client balance and VAT reconciliations
Liaising with clients and auditors to answer queries and offer suggestions
Reconciling supplied statements
Processing bank transfers
Monitoring bank accounts and aged debt
Processing all Bills/Credit Notes/Write-Offs
Ensuring that the Helpdesk is up to date, dealing with queries as they arise in a timely manner
Posting Disbursements to the relevant ledgers
Processing daily client to office transfers thoroughly and by enquiring with fee earners
Reviewing Completion Statements prior to completion
Posting and Printing Cheques
We are looking to find a candidate who has experience completing these duties in a law firm environment due to this role being essential to the running of the business.
9am - 5pm Monday to Friday + Excellent benefits

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience of working within a Finance Department and have knowledge/experience in legal/professional services essential. Experience with Proclaim would be highly desirable but any legal accounts software experience is needed. Good communication skills. Ability to display discretion and diplomacy and enjoy being part of a multi-skilled friendly team. The ability to priorities tasks and work well under pressure. Effective time management skills and prioritization of tasks. Excellent customer service ethos. Ability to resolve queries efficiently and to communicate in a professional and friendly manner with the rest of the business. Willingness to acquire an in-depth understanding of the practical application of SRA rules. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to plan effectively. Priorities workload and have the initiative to resolve issues promptly. Experience: legal cashier: 1 year (Preferred)
