The role of the Finance Manager sits within the Financial Control team and will be responsible for the accounting, balance sheet substantiation and preparation of statutory accounts.
Responsibilities
Support delivery of the monthly close process for all entities
Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations and substantiation
Oversee the monthly accruals and prepayments
Provide support to the Financial Control team as required in respect of other general ledger postings and reconciliations
Review and oversee work completed by our offshore team
Complete HFM validations
Ensure all reports and disclosures comply with professional standards and accounting controls
Ensure that appropriate internal controls over financial reporting processes are in place and maintained on a consistent basis
Preparation of statutory accounts
Liaise with the business partnering team and the business functions to ensure costs and income are recorded accurately in the accounting records
Adhoc projects: support for current ongoing system project work and new strategic project initiatives
Other ad hoc financial reporting processes as required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with 5+ years of relevant experience • Ability to work dynamically and efficiently to meet strict deadlines • Understanding of monthly reconciliation processes and ledger systems • Strong level of Excel and Word use • Solid understanding of core accounting principles and systems • Sound judgment, good organisational skills, with strong personal and professional integrity
