Job Description

The Assistant Accountant role will be a part of a wider team who are all responsible for the finance function, monthly reporting, and month end processes.

To be successful in this role you will require previous experience in accountancy ideally within

Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation and posting of entries to the general ledger
• Balance Sheet reconciliations and month end tasks
• Audit queries and control compliance
• Preparation and processing of payroll
• Assistance with tax and wider finance projects
• Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts and year end statutory accounts.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry An analytical mindset, the ability to challenge existing ways of working A track record of resolving problems from identification through to remediation Confidence to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders Track record of working to tight timescales Drive to continuously improve Tenacious with an eye for accuracy and attention to detail
