Are you a small firm ACCA / ACA qualified Accounts & Audit Manager / General Practice Manager from a practice background looking to upgrade to a niche accountancy practice firm based in the West End of Zone 1 Central London? Are you looking to work for a firm where you can gain exposure to interesting clients and better quality work, and assist the partners with the day to day smooth running of the firm? Are you also looking to work in a general practice role, where you can utilise all of your accounts, tax, audit, managerial and advisory skills? If so, this growing independent accountancy practice with around 15 staff is looking to recruit a new member of staff due to impressive growth over the last few years. Based in the business services department, your role will be varied, and will include managing a portfolio of clients, review the preparation of statutory and management accounts for clients, corporation tax returns, reviewing audit work (no more than 20% of the role) and supervising junior members of staff in preparing Vat returns and bookkeeping assignments. You will be responsible for reviewing work, managing a small team as well as ad hoc projects. You will also be responsible for liaising with clients and building relationships. A very strong emphasis is put on the advisory side of accountancy and you will be expected to provide value added advice to your clients on a regular basis. Your role will mainly be supervisory based but will include a hands on element for more complex work. You will work directly with the partners and be the first point of contact for clients. Your client base will be varied and include an impressive array of SME and medium sized businesses from a wide variety of sectors. To be considered for this new role you must be a fully qualified manager with PQE although qualified by experience candidates will still be considered. Your current role must include the above duties (including preparing accounts and tax returns, managing a team, supervising staff and managing a portfolio of clients). You must ideally have some audit experience and be happy to carry out a role 20% audit based. You will now be looking to upgrade to a firm where you can advise interesting and high growth entrepreneurial clients and have high levels of responsibility from day one. Experience in a range of software packages would be an advantage.
