The role reports into the Head of Accounting & Control with one direct report, responsible for the overall success for the business by ensuring the accuracy of investment figures and supporting overall accounting for both plc and group.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the investment accounting process, including updating of the IFRS and Solvency II trial balances.
Supporting the Implementation of IFRS 9
Leading the production of detailed investments valuation reporting on a monthly basis
Line management responsibility for Assistant Accountant
Support the wider accounting team and finance team with finance projects.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
For this Financial Accountant position, the successful candidate will need to be a qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with post-qualified experience and an understanding of a broad range of financial investment products. Experience in IFRS and Solvency II reporting within the insurance industry would also be an advantage.
