Job Description

The Senior Financial Accountant will report into the Senior Finance Manager and be seen as their most senior direct report. Duties will include:

• Prepare monthly management reports & analysis including budgeting, forecasting and planning along with Business Unit, operational & commercial reports and variance analysis.
• Identify & analyse exceptions to forecast / plan against actuals; provide explanations.
• Produce economic and sales forecasts; collating and analysing this information.
• Contribute to financial reporting around transactions, earnings, profits, cash balances and other financial results to ensure compliance with IFRS / FRS102.
• Prepare external reporting; ensure the processes behind this reporting are robust and current.
• A range of ad hoc projects to support the needs of a growing business.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Be a qualified accountant; ideally an ACA who trained with a Big 4 / Top 6 firm. Possess experience in a reporting role outside of practice. Enjoy working accurately and at pace whilst hitting relevant deadlines. Be adept at managing stakeholders at all levels and from both within & outside finance.
