Job Description

The Bookkeeper contributes to the financial monitoring and control of SS4 Autism. They provide support to the Legal & Financial Controller by providing up to date and accurate financial information, writing emails and ad-hoc legal tasks.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Expensing and Performing monthly audits of claims, petty cash and mileage reports for all services, and the head office.
  • Reconciling all bank statements for all services with their accounts on Quickbooks at the beginning of each month.
  • Recording suppliers’ invoices on Quickbooks to produce payables for the incoming month.
  • Updating the agency hours, and the hours of care for all individuals within the company, on a monthly basis.
  • Producing accurate and precise calculations and figures for the agency usage of the previous month.
  • Producing Clockrite reports of attendance for all service managers on a weekly basis.
  • Managing Payroll from A to Z on a monthly basis.
  • Processing Company Credit cards, charge cards and corporate ‘prepay’ cards.
  • Producing end of year reports and analysing overheads and budget trackers.
  • Managing the fixed asset register, prepayments and accruals.
  • Managing weekly BACS runs to suppliers, contractors and Employee bank accounts
  • Regularly filing correspondences and invoices.

Skills and qualities we are looking for:

  • Good Knowledge of Microsoft Package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Good knowledge of Quickbooks and Sage Payroll
  • Good understanding of Accounting Policies on Double Entries
  • Able to communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels
  • Have excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Able to prioritise workload to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Able to work to strict deadlines
  • Able to work effectively in small groups and on their own initiative
