Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit an AAT qualified Payroll & Accounts / Bookkeeper Officer with immediate start. This position is to work part to full time covering 18 to 39 hours per week. There is some flexibility around the days you would like to work. This position is on a self-employed basis working.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  • Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
  • Secures financial information by completing database backups.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Payroll responsibilities.

  • Process and post journal records for accounting, account receivables and payroll
  • Process pension report for NEST Pension scheme on a monthly basics.
  • This role is also includes all the tasks of carrying out general ledger account reconciliation, as well as other accounting operations.
  • To ensure the processing of payroll monthly, organizing employer and staff PAYE matters and ensuring prompt payment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience: bookkeeping: 1 year (Preferred). QuickBooks: 1 year (Preferred).
