Role Overview

Sentinel Capital is currently in a rapid growth phase and as such is looking for a full-time bookkeeper / admin assistant to join the dynamic team. The candidate will primarily be responsible for the management of the day-to-day accounting and financial requirements for the group. The ideal candidate for this position has excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, displays attention to detail and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines whilst maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Daily usage of financial processes, enhancing and updating where needed
  • Management of company ledger
  • Maintaining accounts, verifying and posting transactions
  • Balancing accounts on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis
  • Managing invoices & payments
  • Liaising with tenants, landlords, suppliers, and banking contacts
  • Working closely with accountants to prepare year-end accounts and VAT returns where applicable
  • Preparing schedules, statements, and reports as requested
  • Managing & filing relevant documentation
  • Payroll and pension processing
  • Feed-in-Tariff submissions
  • Provide administrative and clerical support as needed
  • Additional bookkeeping duties as designated by management

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree level education ideally in accounting or finance
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in real estate and/or fund accounting
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role
  • Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
  • Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations
  • IT literate and fully proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team

Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
