  • The successful candidate
  • Qualified/part qualified
  • Extensive Experience of working in UK accountancy practice
  • Strong skills in Bookkeeping, VAT, Accounts and Tax
  • Ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Knowledge and experience of VT+, Quickbooks, Moneysoft or similar softwares
  • Experience of dealing with HMRC
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a customer service focus
  • Excellent numeracy skills and financial awareness
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Capacity to work under pressure

Job Description

  • Running the payrolls for clients and liaising with HMRC to resolve queries
  • Enrolling clients into a pension scheme and liaising with the pension provider and the Pensions Regulator
  • Completing CIS returns
  • General bookkeeping duties
  • Completing self-assessment tax returns for clients
  • Complete VAT returns for clients
  • Completion of on-line submissions to HMRC and Companies House
  • Organising and updating relevant data using various applications
  • Any other general accounts and administration duties as and when required

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
