Trading for 24 years, RUHI Enterprises is an International FMCG distributor and wholesaler who has grown rapidly to establish itself as one of the UK’s leading distributors. We run most of our operations from our UK office, based in London. As our business grows, we look to expand our team, and are currently looking for a committed and experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper.

About the role

Handling all financial aspects of business, you will responsible for ensuring all financial handlings of the business are kept up date, with a clear picture of incomings and outgoings are all times. Through the role, you will occasionally be in direct contact with our stakeholders, namely suppliers and clients, regarding outstanding payments or any finance related queries.

This role requires strong teamwork skills, as you will be liaising with our sales and operations team on a daily basis to complement the processing of their transactions and activities. In addition, strong analytical skills will be paramount when conducting enquiries with stakeholders, bank reconciliation, VAT Returns, and preparing end of year accounts.

The ideal candidate for this role would be expected to hold strong proven bookkeeping skills within a high turnover business (ideally within the Import/Export field), and would be able to handle multi-currency bookkeeping, across the range of our RUHI group companies, some of which are based in Dubai and Africa.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years experience bookkeeping for a high turnover International Trading business (Import/Export field preferred)
  • Qualified or part qualified in one of the following qualifications: ACCA, CIMA, AAT, ACA (Note: Educational Reimbursement will be considered)
  • Experience with Sage Line 50 Accounting software (Sales, Purchases, Expenses, Clearing nominal accounts, applying appropriate exchange rates with multicurrency reconciliation)

Duties

  • Manage RUHI Group Companies postings and Bank reconciliations (including multicurrency)
  • Producing Invoices and Purchase Orders for the Sales team
  • Updating Sales and Purchase ledgers on daily basis.
  • Performing Group Company bank reconciliations twice a week.
  • Submission of RUHI quarterly VAT figures
  • Reporting EC Sales List and Intrastat on a monthly basis
  • Managing Debtors and Creditors, chasing when necessary
  • Submitting payroll figures to HMRC and Pension arrangements.
  • Ad hoc finance related tasks assigned by Company Director.
