Job Description

I am seeking a Part Qualified (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) candidate. Please note I am only considering candidates with knowledge of Insurance but this is not limited to Insurance broking so I will consider candidates from all areas of insurance.

Overview on the role

• Maintenance of appropriate accounting records which give an accurate picture, at any given time, of the financial position of the Firm and which comply with statutory requirements, accounting standards and industry best practice.
• Processing of monthly journals.
• Balance sheet reconciliation preparation and self-review.
• Maintenance of relevant SOX controls. (SarbanesOxley)
• Analytical reviews and commentary.
• In co-operation with the Company’s auditors, assist with the preparation of the annual accounts of the Company in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Assist with the completion of FCA regulatory reporting.
• Support the Head of Financial and Management Reporting in any activity and/or specific project work required.
