Senior Practice Accountant - Salary £28,000- £35,000 dependant on experience

Full time - Flexible hours ,part-time considered

Due to expansion our client, Solutions Accountancy is looking for a qualified senior accountant to join their growing and friendly team. They are a practice based in Huddersfield town centre. They have a strong ethos around staff well being and customer service and they are looking for someone who will share this outlook and grow and develop with the practice. This role could suit someone who has worked in a larger practice environment and now would like to work in a smaller close knit supportive team.

Clients are all SMEs who appreciate the more personal touch, they range from start up businesses to companies of around £10 million turnover, from varying sectors but many are from digital, construction and manufacturing

Key responsibilities but not limited to:-

• Preparation of accounts and Corporation Tax Returns
• Personal Tax Returns and Tax advice
• Giving strategic tax advice to clients
• Preparation of management accounts for clients
• Answering client queries and client meetings
• Assisting junior members of the teams with their queries
• Mentoring and supporting apprentices
• Desirable to have R&D Tax experience

Attributes

• Excellent time keeping and organisation
• Excellent communication and the ability to instil confidence in clients
• Experience of SAGE, XERO and ideally a variety of accounts software
• Ability to work in a busy environment and meet multiple deadlines required
• Previous Practice experience required.
• Enthusiasm for self -development and gaining a range of experience

Hours

• 5 days per week, minimum 28 hours
• Possibility of 1 day per week remote working
• Flexi-time available
