Job Description

· Reporting directly to the Head of Finance / Finance Director, this role involves:

· Review and preparation of monthly management accounts and of all annual statutory accounts and iXBRL tagging

· Assistance with financial/co sec compliance

· Liaison with external auditors, funders, and treasury management

· Assistance with audit process

· Reports to banks on covenants including updating operational models

· Reports to Boards on monthly performance

· Effective communication both down and up

Financial Review Control Duties

· Provision of cover for holidays and sickness when necessary

· Preparation and review of month end accounts and monthly board papers

· Responsible for the process and accuracy of project reconciliations across all companies

· Setting up spreadsheets to maintain essential reconciliations and checking

· Assistance with annual audit process for all companies

· Ensuring year-end files have all information required by auditors

· Review of statutory accounts

· Review of operational models and preparation of reports to the Board

Review of model reconciliations

· Review of budgets and business plans

· Operational Finance Duties

· Preparation of IFRS adjustments and consolidations

· Some iXBRL tagging

· Familiarisation with FC models

· Setting up monitoring/operational schedules

· Responsibility for treasury management across the portfolio

· Extraction of key financial information from financial close models and setting up of all relevant accounting processes and controls to monitor and operate

· Pulling key financial information from lease agreements and setting up relevant accounting processes and controls to monitor and operate.

· Evaluation of banking facilities and ensuring compliance and undertaking improvements as required - e.g. online banking and moving reserve accounts to a type earning more interest.

· Management of bank administration process and responsibility for ensuring bank mandate tracker is up to date and accurate

· Ensure in depth knowledge of all live MSAs and update when required


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Newly qualified accountant at least 2 years PQE Computer experience: Extensive experience of Excel, knowledge of MS Outlook and Word, experience in using accounting packages Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple clients or customers Ability to work to deadlines Team player Good analytical skills Good communication skills Knowledge of IFRS and FRS102 statutory accounting
