Job Description

The Lead Auditor role holds responsibility for undertaking certification audits at a wide range of clients located throughout the UK and, if required, overseas.

  • Conduct management systems audits (Stage 1, Stage 2, Surveillance and Re-Certification) against a range of International and European Management Standards.
  • Their core standards include ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 (45001) and specialist standards include (but not limited to) ACS, BRC, ISO 27001, EN1090, SSiP.
  • Submit audit reports in the required format and quality standards to specified KPIs.
  • Promote the benefits of certification to management system standards for existing clients and undertake visits to potential clients to maximise market share.
  • Identify sales opportunities for additional certification and training courses.
  • Travel to client sites with overnight stays as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal candidate will have an extensive knowledge of the certification industry and a detailed understanding of the auditing sector. The role requires a strong attention to detail, a meticulous approach, and the ability to develop rapport with clients at all levels of seniority.
