Job Description

Pro-Recruitment Group have partnered with a well-known regulator who are seeking an experienced Project Leader to help assess and review applications from organisations and individuals seeking authorisation to conduct PIE audits, which includes gathering the requisite evidence and intelligence. As the Project Leader (PIE Auditor registration) you will support the Project Manager with the design, launch and ongoing operation of this new system to support the role of the supervisors and oversight of the largest audit firms.

• Drafting reports and management information for the Project Manager, Supervisors and the Supervision Division and committees

• Monitoring relevant email inboxes and acting as a first point of contact with external agencies
• Supporting the implementation and ongoing management of the new PIE auditor registration regime
• Supporting and reviewing the ongoing registration of firms and individuals that are authorised to conduct PIE audits and to make decisions or recommendations where necessary
• Responding appropriately to intelligence received relating to firms and individuals authorised to conduct PIE audits
• Working closely with external stakeholders to deliver an effective and efficient decision-making process
• Supporting the development and growth of the Audit Firm Supervision team and wider Supervision department

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Project management experience working in the audit / or regulatory sector Extensive experience of work in the regulatory sector or similar A good awareness and understanding of the audit profession: the main participants in the PIE audit market, firm's operating models, their processes, and financial and economic drivers Strong audit knowledge Experience of leading on the development and implementation of new internal operational processes, including case management software Experience of managing a large volume of casework
