Applicants who have a background working within an SME environment, being hands on in a broad role and adapting to the needs of the business please read on.

It's not often you get the chance to support this fantastic business who very rarely have a vacancy, however due to a retirement in the team, this family run business have taken the opportunity to spice up the role and add further duties and responsibilities.

Effectively, this newly created role will provide much needed support and cover to the Financial Controller. The ideal applicant will be ACCA, CIMA, ACA qualified and familiar with producing management accounts and statutory reporting. Applicants who are PQ/QBE will be considered.

Joining the team you will receive an extensive hand over and regular training and support, however long term, the FC wants you to run with the role, use your initiative and make it your own.

It is important you're a confident, self-starter with excellent communication skills who learns quickly and who is comfortable working within an SME environment. Once up to speed, you will be the main go-to-person and take ownership of following;

• Production of month end management accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Bank reconciliation / cash management
• Statutory accounting / reporting / year end
• VAT returns
• Payroll

Experience of working within an SME environment would be a major advantage along with excellent use of MS Excel, (pivots, look-ups, formulae's).
