Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a group that is rapidly expanding, with a vision to grow internationally and expand rapidly. There will be many opportunities for career progression within the management team.

You will be

  • Working closely with the MD on a day to day basis as a team to maximize output and achieve more together
  • Taking the admin burden from the MD to allow focus on more productive tasks for the company
  • Managing diary and appointments on a daily basis
  • Making phone calls to follow up on projects making sure they are completed within deadlines
  • Email management for the MD & email in a professional manner on their instructions
  • Liaising between internal departments & teams to ensure timely reporting to MD
  • Managing files and paperwork in an organized fashion
  • Scanning and photocopying where required
  • Organizing and attending team meetings and reporting data and records generated
  • Receiving and making phone calls for the MD
  • Formatting reports into organized formats and making data presentable
  • Problem-solving as a representative of the senior management team
  • Assisting with supplier relationships in the UK and Far East

Practical Details

- Full time – 5 days a week 8am to 4.30pm

- We are also open to flexible working options for more experienced candidates

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
3-4 years’ work experience within a busy office-based environment. Reliability, Sincerity and Punctuality to be a dependable member of the team. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office. Excellent written and spoken English skills essential Ability to work to and meet strict deadlines. Great Multitasking ability and very high level of organizational skills to manage a large number of tasks simultaneously. Take responsibility for the image portrayed to customers and partners by meeting promises on time and making arrangements for deadlines with colleagues if not available. Good interpersonal skills in dealing with varied people across the whole company. Excellent time management skills and ability to work on own initiative. Knowledge of the home textiles and furniture industry would be an advantage but is not a necessity. A clean driving license would also be an advantage. Experience: Admin: 3 years (Required). Secretarial: 3 years (Required). Education: A-Level or equivalent (Required).
