Job Description

The firm Charles William Chartered Accountants is an established Chartered Accountancy Practice based in Central London (NW1 3EE) near Warren Street and Euston stations. Reporting to the business Owner/Director, we are looking for an organised, hardworking individual with initiative to assist in the day-to-day administration of the Practice and the Director’s other commercial interests. This is a new, office-based role that would suit someone living locally to London NW1

Job description

  • Assist with communication and emails, including email in-box management, using judgement to action correspondence or delegate to colleagues as appropriate
  • Assisting in the drafting and updating of standard letters and emails used within the Practice
  • Working with the Director to devise and maintain efficient office procedures and systems, creating schedules of work and contributing ideas for efficient internal office procedures
  • Overseeing the Director’s to-do list, actively managing deadlines and ensuring work is completed on time
  • Updating and maintaining company websites
  • Ad hoc assignments

Person specification

  • Experience of working in an office environment in an administrative or PA role
  • Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office, Word (Intermediate), Excel (Basic would be an advantage)
  • Good level of written English
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Part-time hours: Flexible working hours available for the right candidate to be agreed with the Director.

Rate: prorate at £22,000 per annum.

Please note this is a PA/admin role and will not suit accountancy / tax studiers, workers or graduates looking for a role in accounting or tax.
