Job Description

The position requires a hands-on team player with an exceptional attention to detail. The role will suit an Engineer who has the ability to quickly develop skills in new areas and liaise with other engineers within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

The Cockpit Electronics team is responsible for the specification, test and delivery of infotainment systems, displays, audio systems and interior switches. The responsibilities of the Senior Infotainment Engineer will include the following:

· Developing system requirements

· Technical documentation creation (specifications, FMEA, software requirements, etc.)

· Test case and procedure creation

· Manual test execution

· Automated testing

· Proof of concept development

· Supplier management throughout development cycle

· Timely task delivery in line with project timing plan and defined gateway deliverables

· BoM and release management with support from offshore team

· Build and launch support

· Assisting Principle Engineer in provision of work to the team

Knowledge / Experience

• Experience with Infotainment Systems
• Experience in a systems engineering, or electronics role; ideally in automotive industry.
• Experience of the Systems Development Lifecycle (V Model); writing system requirements, defining test cases and writing test procedures.
• Ability to produce formal documentation to a professional standard.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Organised, systematic and understands the process of fault finding. Ability to effectively manage time between multiple projects. Knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet and corresponding tools. Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics. Experience and understanding of vehicle level system integration in terms of hardware and software Experience of systems testing of HMI-based systems.
