Job Description

This role sits within a busy and dynamic department where you will be part of a small team, reporting directly to the Health and Safety Manager. This position requires you to provide excellent administrative support to the Health and Safety Manager. Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the Health and Safety email inbox, responding to emails in a timely manner.
  • Inputting incident data into the incident database and manipulating this data to produce reports, data and graphs using Excel.
  • Filing incident and investigation-related documents.
  • Coordinating Health and Safety Committee meetings, producing papers, taking notes and issuing minutes.
  • Producing training documentation and resources, and building presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Keeping the health and safety section of the intranet up to date.

Owing to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, our Health and Safety Department have played an integral part in helping to keep all our colleagues safe. It would be helpful, although not essential, if the successful candidate had an understanding or an interest in ensuring workplaces are Covid-Secure and an appreciation of the current legislation regarding the pandemic.

You will be working 21 hours per week, Wednesday to Friday, for up to 12 months whilst the post holder is on maternity leave. Usually, this position would be based at our offices in Stratford-upon-Avon, however, during the ongoing pandemic, you will be required to work from home. There may be occasional short visits to site to carry out specific tasks.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal candidate will have significant administrative experience and be a confident user of the Microsoft Office suite. You will have excellent time management skills, be self-sufficient and motivated to provide first class support to a small, busy department. We are looking for someone who can consistently remain calm, with the ability to priorities and maintain high standards. If you enjoy communicating across all levels in a workplace, working autonomously and taking responsibility for the work you produce, this opportunity could be ideal for you.
