In your new role you will be responsible for supporting the Management Accountant with the provision of proactive, comprehensive, and high-quality management accounting. The duties you will undertake are as follows:
Preparation of accurate accruals and prepayments
Ensure accurate coding within the ledgers
Investigation and analysis of variances as directed by your line manager
Reconciliation of monthly budget changes
Maintenance of query log
Regular liaison with other departments to collect information
Provision of supplementary information
Provision of reports to assist Management accountant / budget holders
Design and maintain spreadsheets
Any other adhoc duties as requested.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will need to have recent and relevant experience of working in a busy finance function. Experienced accruals, prepayment and journals and experience of assisting with the preparation of management accounts. Experience of working in the NHS or a large public sector organisation is desirable.
