Job Description

- Calculate and post relevant journals to ensure the accounts are reflective of underlying financial performance
- Assist in planning and delivering the month end close process, ensuring the ledgers are all closed to strict deadlines
- Review journal postings and reports produced by Assistant Accountants
- Monthly reporting of P&L, cashflow or balance sheet risks
- Production of full P&L, balance sheet and Capital Expenditure reporting including variance analysis and supporting commentary
- Dealing with stakeholder requests
- End to end ownership of P&L
- Provide support to Assistant Accountants throughout month end process
- Drive continual improvement

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- ACCA/CIMA qualified - Experience in a similar role, dealing with profit and loss and balance sheet reporting - Ability to actively engage stakeholders and to respond to queries in a collaborative manner - ERP system, advanced excel skills - Experience in the retail sector is desirable - Immediately available
