Managing and supporting the performance and development of a team of Accounts Assistants
Supporting the global roll out of a major new ERP across several subsidiaries. Providing guidance and training to subsidiary administration staff as required.
Liaising regularly with overseas finance staff to ensure accounts are closed in line with the month end timetable and ensuring that any P&L performance issues are fully understood
Working with subsidiary management and finance staff to identify and improve performance issues
Managing subsidiary working capital in areas such as aged debt and cash flow forecasting
Involvement in performance review meetings with subsidiary and HQ management
Ensure newly acquired subsidiaries are successfully integrated into A-Safe’s policies, procedures and systems
Dealing with complex and ad hoc reconciliation issues, such as separate accounting systems in Mexico and Russia
Partnering with other departments, such as Marketing or Product Development to provide useful insight into their performance and enhance their support for the business
Ad hoc projects as required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Essential: Fully qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA Experienced in all aspects of the role in particular management accounts Lateral thinker and problem solver Strong IT skills and a desire to work with modern IT systems Effective communication skills at all levels Desirable: Industry background Experience of working with SAP or NetSuite ERP Systems Experience working with international subsidiaries Experience of consolidating group accounts
