Job Description

You will be tasked with identifying new initiatives that support the strategic vision of the business and will take complete ownership for some of these projects, all the way from inception to execution. The role will require a sharp thinker who is comfortable collaborating across teams and who can synthesise data into actionable insights for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting the Operations Director in the day to day running of commercial projects and customer queries
• Helping to create operational excellence and deliver commercial projects in time and on budget
• Establishing means of keeping costs at a minimum – finding any areas for reduction
• Assessing areas for process improvement, looking at ways in which projects can be optimised
• Reporting analytic metrics for the business – whether this be on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis. Using these findings to help manage any potential risks and issues
• Developing and tracking core KPIs across the team to track strategic goals, milestones and accomplishments
• Gathering and analysing data and helping to drive and translate recommendations into results
• Working closely with the Operations Director to identify and implement new initiatives with key stakeholders to develop and launch new initiatives.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

A 2.1 in an analytical subject from a top 20 university Proven experience in operations, you will have at least 2 years’ experience in a commercial environment – whether that be in business operations or product operations You will be a confident Excel user – you’re well versed in working with formulas to analyse and read data Confident working with numbers and presenting your findings to senior management and stakeholders Knowledge of SQL is a real plus You must have a genuine interest in data and the impact data has on our decision making You have excellent attention to detail, you never miss an error You will enjoy working at pace and have the ability to manage a busy work load You will be comfortable working with various divisions within a business
