Job Description

Main areas of the role will be:

  • To liaise with the purchasing department with a view to obtain competitive pricing
  • Complete materials / component costing for sales enquiries using excel
  • Analyze supplier quotes to work out most competitive pricing
  • Produce detailed customer quotes
  • Complete quotation analysis forms
  • Liaise with the production department to obtain cost effective processes
  • Calculate material yields
  • Lead Feasibility Review meetings
  • Control and maintain an internal tracker system
  • Receipt new orders in, give full commercial review and liaise with various other departments through to full part set up.

37hrs per week Mon - Thurs 08:00-16:30 & Fri 08:00-13:00

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You must demonstrate initiative, problem solving, and the ability to build and develop effective relationships. This is a fast paced, high pressured environment that requires first rate attention to detail as you will be calculating quotes and profit margins. You must have sound mathematical capability, and have thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel. You will need to have good administration skills, a problem solving attitude, be able to multi task and support other team members. Previous experience as a materials estimator or buyer preferred. Experience: Administration: 2 years (Required). Estimating: 1 year (Required).
