Job Description

This post is designed to ensure that the fostering service has an effective and efficient administrative system, primarily in the overview of the administration for Fostering panel including panel minutes.

General administration support for the Fostering service including supporting the assessment of applicants and the statutory compliance of foster careers and households.

This work will be conducted in close consultation with the Senior Fostering Administrator.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collate statutory report documentation in respect of Fostering panel requirements that include mandatory forms
  • Ensure panel members/foster careers/applicants and social workers have details of panel agenda.
  • Attend panel as minute taker which is held in Stoke-on Trent (however currently via zoom due to Covid)
  • Draft minutes in agreed format within timescale
  • Upload panel minutes onto charms
  • Supporting the Fostering Service with administration to ensure effective day to day running
  • Attending and contributing to supervision and the company’s appraisal process.
  • To declare any other work (paid or voluntary) or activity that may lead to a conflict of interest
  • To carry out any other duties as required commensurate with the post.

The position is part time for 3 days per week that must include Monday and Tuesday and any other day/time outside of this by agreement with the Senior Fostering Administrator.

Appointment will be subject to a clear DBS and satisfactory references received.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be able to organize and priorities your own work load and have excellent written and communication skills. Have previous experience of taking and producing accurate and comprehensive minutes of meetings. Must have a full driving license and have access to a vehicle with business insurance. Qualification for word processing i.e. RSA or OCR for example.Experience: Minute Taking: 1 year (Required) License: Driving (Required)
