This is a busy role in an innovate paid digital marketing agency that’s going places. They have an increasing global spread of B2B clients who get great value by making sure that their paid advertising is in the right place, at the right time, pointing to the right audience. Unlike for many businesses, Covid-19 has been a catalyst for growth as companies increasingly go online to sell their goods and services.

THE ROLE

Reporting initially to the Director, this is a critical role in the day-to-day running of the business. The agency runs multiple and repeat business for many global clients and has a constant flow of invoicing, cash collection and reconciliations that need to be accurate and up to date. The business is successful, lively and the pace is constant, but the team works together to their collective goals. You will also help maintain accurate records so the business can maintain monthly accounts that keep track of progress and keep a firm grip on the balance sheet. You will be working in tandem with the Head of Accounts, so you’re not alone.

If you’re comfortable (and enjoy) detailed accounts work that also includes plenty of customer and supplier contact to help maintain the integrity of the business, this could be an ideal opportunity to join an organisation in a strong market position.

THE CANDIDATE

You’ve been a bookkeeper for more than couple of years and familiar using Xero. You may be AAT qualified, but experience on the job is what really counts here. The ability to work accurately and move around a wide range of tasks during any day is what’s really needed.
To be clear, experience with all the following would really help your application.

  • Invoicing start to finish
  • Bank and cash reconciliations
  • Month end reconciliations
  • Management of regular daily payments in volume
  • Processing accruals and journals
  • Management Accounts
  • Credit Control
  • Query handling and management
  • Supplier payments

And you’re a good person to have around a team.

GEOGRAPHY

The offices are in Croydon.

SALARY

Annual basic salary will be in the region of £26k.
