£25,000 plus study

Your new company

My client is a high calibre accountancy practice based in Surrey, who prides themselves on their entrepreneurial client base and being at the forefront of technology in the working environment. A new role has become available in their Trust and Wealth department for an AAT student to join their team.

Your new role

You will be providing regular reports to individuals and families, consolidating their net worth over a variety of assets. Reports include wealth consolidation, investment performance, and expenditure analysis in addition to management accounts. Clients are typically UHNW individuals or families.

Duties include:
Bookkeeping client accounts, managing the data capture process for investment manager and bank statements, through a variety of methods from manual posting to automated data interfaces.

Responsibility for data integrity, performing the first reconciliation of bank records vs our systems. Working closely with our investment accountants, to sign off on client records on a daily or monthly basis.

Assisting in the preparation of wealth reports, performance reports and management accounts, depending upon the client.

General administration on behalf of clients, including cash flow analysis and raising payments.

Day to day filing and archiving

Oversight of junior bookkeepers, responsible for investment statement collation.

Development of processes and procedures to accommodate business changes

What you'll need to succeed

You will have previous bookkeeping or back office experience and have worked with investments in a previous role, including detailed knowledge of more technical financial instruments, such as private equity or derivatives, experience with general ledger or investment software or fund administration/accounting. You will have strong client service experience, especially with private clients
