Edenbrook are working with a globally recognised insurer to recruit a Business Partner. This role offers a unique opportunity for an individual to join a fast paced, highly commercial business that can offer career progression and senior interaction across the whole spectrum of finance activities.

This position requires someone with a strong understanding of the insurance market (ideally Lloyd's).

Key Responsibilities;

It’s a business facing position so you would need to engage and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Typical responsibilities will include:

• Responsibility for the production of the quarterly reforecasts, the one year budget, and three year plan at both a business unit and legal entity level
• Work with the Head of UK FPA and Syndicate Management in delivering a range of Finance projects.
• Working closely with the Syndicate business planning team in developing a forecast model for the syndicates.
• Lead discussions with Finance Managers, Actuaries and other business areas to discuss movements and planning for the future.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Qualified Accountant with experience within insurance - either within practice or industry • Strong system and IT skills with a proactive approach to problem solving. • Strong numeracy skills and confidence to deal with financial data. • Ambitious personality, always looking to learn and progress. Creative, and innovative - does not accept the status quo • A high performer with exceptional analytical skills, an ability to critically evaluate problems, and make strategic recommendations
