Job Description

This is a well-known local firm of Accountants situated in Essex. They offer a full range of accounting services to their clients, who include sole traders, partnerships and small limited companies.

Working as part of a small and friendly team, your key duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Preparing accounts
• Tax computations
• Preparing VAT returns
• Preparing personal and corporate tax returns
• Bookkeeping and management accounts
• Statutory work
• Reviewing junior staff’s work and assisting with their training

This a varied role within a well-established business and offers a relaxed and friendly working environment.

The right person will need to be a team player, capable of managing their own workload but also happy to help other staff as necessary. An experienced Semi-Senior Accountant with previous experience of working in accountancy practice and an AAT qualification or ACCA trainee would be an ideal candidate, though anyone who is confident in putting together a set of accounts within a practice environment is encouraged to apply.

• Full study support is available for ACCA or AAT if desired.
• The hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 9-5.30 and Fridays 9-4.30.
