The tasks will include providing support across various roles such as:
Preparation of various calculations which feed into the financial statements including income work in progress and fee deficit, exporting from Finance Force systems and manipulating in MS Excel using Vlookups and Pivot-tables
Preparation of monthly reconciliations (including bank and payroll data) and resolution of any variances
Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
Investigation and resolution into trial balance review comments
Data quality tasks and exception report checks
Preparing and providing information to internal and external auditors
Processing invoices and credit notes and supporting the team to prepare pay runs files for BACS payments up to 100 invoices
Auditing and posting employee expenses
Setting up new suppliers and updating supplier details
Raise journals requested by frontline colleagues
Reviewing Finance inbox and dealing with queries in a professional, courteous and prompt manner
Ad-hoc tasks assigned by line manager
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Using Excel and Finance Force, preparation of reports and calculations which feed into the management accounts – including staff timecards & project budgets. Preparation of forecasts including income, VAT, depreciation, expenditure and corporation tax Investigation of significant month on month variances in forecasts using MS Excel and producing commentary on investigations and reasonings Assisting with the preparation of the budgeting and planning process Preparing and providing information to the strategy team for the Strategy Brief hearing.
