Process payroll data on a monthly basis in line with statutory and company requirements including attachments of earnings.
Administer the Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay and Statutory Paternity Pay schemes.
Maintain the employee files and the HR filing system on a monthly basis.
Produce Offer Letters and Contracts of Employment for all new starters.
Ensure the Company meet their safeguarding responsibilities at all times.
Process the monthly payroll submission and ensure all monthly journals are posted by the accounts deadline.
Provide advice to staff and managers in relation to pay, taxation and NI.
Provide accurate payroll reports monthly to Operations Managers.
Work with the Head of HR and Payroll to improve the efficiencies of payroll operations and work processes.
Assist with the completion of request forms from HMRC/DWPS/Job Centre plus etc.
Monthly management of the Company Auto-enrolment pension scheme.
Responsibility for the Local Government Pension Funds. Ensuring all monthly and annual deadlines are met.
Support the Operations Team in dealing with employee relations issues and improvement of the tracking systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
At least three years of functional end to end experience in a Payroll/HR location, operating with multiple areas. Excellent ability to understand and read short correspondence, memos and instructions Display of dexterity in writing sometimes intricate correspondence. Ability to effectively forward information to 3rd party providers, a small group or on individual basis, as well as to other members of staff of the company. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadline to achieve objectives. Need to be self-motivated, conscientious and thorough. Practical experience and knowledge or SAGE 50 payroll (advantageous). Practical experience and knowledge of the Furlough Scheme (advantageous). Experience: Payroll: 3 years (Preferred). Sage: 1 year (Preferred).
