Job Description

As Financial Accountant you will be supporting the Head of Financial Accounts on timely year end and statutory accounts preparation for a selection of their 200 companies, as well as delegating to and mentoring an Assistant Accountant.

You will be a key figure in the team liaising with internal stakeholders on query resolution, as well as external bodies on audit matters. You will be able to support other arms of the Finance department on projects and at busy periods, to really gain further exposure to the working of industry.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will be newly qualified, or perhaps even coming towards the end of your ACCA/ACA exams, ready to take on a new challenge from a supportive company and Line Manager. You will have been seriously thinking about looking to move into industry from Practice, with a clear stable work history in Practice preparing year end accounts for clients/SMEs. Alternatively, you may work in industry currently in a similar role, or within a Financial Accounts role within a large company. You will have a real desire to progress quickly, perhaps even within the next 12 months, as more and more opportunities arise within the business, one who have been going through a big recruitment drive the last 12 months!
