Robert Half Financial Services are recruiting for an SPV specialist Senior Accountant to join a Listed Professional Services provider, based in City of London.

About the role:
A new opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our Corporate Services team in London as a Senior Accountant.
Reporting to the Head of Accounting and working with the Accounting Manager, the successful candidate will be a key member of the team of five accountant's in London. It is very much a hands on role, providing accounting services to a range of clients and structures. The role will also involve helping provide administrative services to a range of structured finance, special purpose vehicles (SPV's) and other corporate entities.
Duties explained:
- Be a responsive point of contact for client companies, including structured finance transactions
- Help in the preparation of management accounts, monthly reports and annual financial statements
- Be responsible for the liaison with external auditors and the audit process for client entities in London
- Preparation and filing of iXBRL tagged financial statements
- Preparation and filing of VAT returns
- Help in preparing and filing corporation tax returns in conjunction with tax advisors
- Help in preparing and filing other regulatory and ad-hoc reports, as necessary
- Liaise with external parties, such as legal and tax advisors, investment managers, trustees, arranging banks, in order to achieve client objectives
- Become involved with the on-boarding and day to day admin of running the structured finance vehicles
About you
- University degree and ACA or ACCA qualified with 2-3 years
- Experience of providing accounting services to clients where structured finance SPV accounting was the primary focus
- Solid understanding of the operations of the international structured finance markets including securitisation
- Excellent IT skills are a must, including the use of MS office systems including Word. The role will require advanced Excel skills.
- Comfortable working in a small team and appreciative of the demands that can place on all team members. Willingness to help others
