We are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant with provide high level professional technical/specialist expertise to advise (as part of a professional enabling service) in the delivery and improvement of enabling services to develop and support the organisation and its partners in corporate compliance, planning, performance, policy and strategy.
You will:
Lead the statutory accounts production and compliance processes, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and deadlines.
Oversee end audits with Wales Audit Office ensuring all requests for information are fulfilled.
Develop and maintain financial accounting policies and processes and the adherence to them, ensuring they reflect current standards.
Manage the Fixed Asset Register ensuring compliance with capital accounting standards, policies and procedures.
Oversee banking and tax practices comply with external legislation and guidance as well as internal policies and procedures, ensuring that we have effective internal controls in place.
Oversee the reconciliation of all control accounts (to include Trial Balance accounts, VAT, payables and receivables, bank and payroll accounts) to ensure that robust controls are in place that will stand up to audit scrutiny.
