The right person will be comfortable with running and developing a team whilst sharing responsibility of the businesses Month/ Quarter/ yearly financial reporting ( amongst other duties). We need someone who will be able to hit the ground running and who enjoys reviewing and improving processes and working at a fast pace- though rest assure you will have a strong supportive team surrounding you!
Duties include ( but not limited too):
Responsible for the running and development of the Financial Accounting department, to include all systems and processes involved in the management of Cash and financial accounting
Working alongside the financial controller and support in strategy and decision making
Shared responsibility of month/quarterly/annual reporting
Shared responsibility of discussing complex issues regarding internal/external Audits
Ensure financial governance and tight financial controls are in place throughout the business
Provide expert financial accounting device to colleagues
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ideally you will be CCAB Qualified with at least 2 years post qualification experience Evidence of continuing professional development in compliance with membership of the relevant accounting body 3 years experience at a supervisor/managerial level in the Finance Department of a dynamic organisation 3 years experience providing a full financial accounting service across a large complex organisation Detailed Working knowledge of NHS financial Regime
