Job Description

As Assistant Financial Accountant you’ll assist in Financial Reporting for Capital and related areas including maintenance of the fixed asset register and fixed asset tax analysis required by Group Tax. You’ll also be responsible for several key balance sheet areas such as lease inducements and dilapidations provisions. Additionally, you’ll perform key financial accounting activities supporting group reporting, VAT returns and UK statutory reporting.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You’ll be AAT qualified (or equivalent) and looking to progress your ACCA / CIMA studies. You'll have experience of working in financial accounting within a commercial business. Demonstrable reasonable knowledge of technical accounting and experience of working with transactional processes. Demonstrable experience of using multiple accounting and finance systems Excellent communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Experience of process improvement and driving change. Demonstrable knowledge of compliance areas e.g US GAAP, UK GAAP, SOX, VAT.
