My client is a respected global specialist in wind turbine access, inspection and repair, and industry-certified training provider, and an exclusive distributor and service partner for market-leading vertical access systems.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Duties:
Preparation of Sales Rotor Blade Repair and Inspection quotes for various world regions
Preparation of commercial / technical sales proposals
Review of Invitation to Tender (ITT) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) Documents and accurately assess all requirements
Submission of quotes and tenders to customers after approval by directors or secretary
Crosschecking PO’s against quotes
Develop project timelines through the use of schedules to produce a viable project plan including delivery and installation in close collaboration with global operations team
Assist in development of proposal strategies for the tender
Assist in the preparation and compilation of contract documents ensuring that all contract documentation is in line with all previously agreed tender negotiations.
Liaise with Engineers to retrieve technical data for estimated service efforts in order to prepare accurate quotations and proposals in a timely manner, mainly forced by tide submission deadlines
Liaise with other departments to ensure that all relevant input is compliant with ITT or RFQ requirements.
Liaising with the procurement team and suppliers to obtain supplier, mainly material costs
Prepare commercial requirements, typically profit margins, costing sheets and history sales.
Prepare handover documentation for the operations project team
Analysis of historic estimates / sales related data
Managing and checking customers purchase orders received
Liaison with existing customers when required
Developing relationships with key customers and internal team members
Building knowledge of the business including financial methods, products and competitor awareness
Produce a detailed functional specification and Scope of Work for a specific solution.
Arrange and attend kick off meetings.
UK and European Travel in support of accountabilities
Participate in service trade shows
Assist the Sales team occasionally.
Skills and Qualifications:
Passion for renewable industry combating climate change
Experience in creating quotation and participating in tenders
Ability to work & task manage efficiently under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
Willing to work out of office hours to support, finalise and complete tender invitations, when required
Fluent written and spoken English, Spanish language beneficial
Computer literate, familiar with cloud based tender platforms and quotation software
Ability to use online communication / meeting platforms extensively
Excellent Excel skills (calculations and formulas)
Preferred experience with online procurement portals
Commercial and analytical minded approach to the role
Strategic and creative thinking ability
Excellent team player.
Good stress resistance and a positive attitude towards new challenges.
Reliable and high level of flexibility
Good eye for detail.
