Job Description

Our client are seeking an ambitious individual to take on responsibility for a diverse portfolio of both corporate and NFP clients and would suit an individual with a significant background in accountancy practice.

This will be a varied role involving statutory/ management accounts preparation, tax compliance, the review of bookkeeping, client meetings and being the first point of contact for client queies. A good knowledge of cloud accountancy software (especially Xero) is highly desirable.

Salary is dependent on experience with excellent benefits and outstanding opportunities for progression within a leading firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of your own portfolio of clients
  • Accounts preparation for a mixture of charities, limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
  • VAT returns, management accounting and bookkeeping
  • Reviewing the work of junior staff
  • Managing a small team
  • Resolution of client queries and provision of advice
  • Client meetings
  • Providing technical support to Partners

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You will ideally be ACA/ ACCA qualified (Finalist/ Part Qualified also considered) with strong communication skills, experience of supervising junior staff/ reviewing their work and looking to progress your career with a leading firm. ACCA/ ACA Qualified. Part Qualified/ AAT Qualified/ QBE also considered. Experience of managing a client portfolio. Practice experience is essential.
