What a Hardware engineer will be doing:
Research and develop of cutting highly dynamic products along with the associated communications systems. You will be required to use your experience of real-time firmware on state of the art defence systems.
You will be responsible for furthering your abilities and experience to help support on-going and new developments within the organisation.
Important to be able to work in a small team containing of system, software, firmware and infrastructure engineers.
Responsibility for delivering firmware as well as developing field programmable gate array (FPGA) aspects of satellite communications (SATCOM) modern products based of Software Defined Radio (SDR) technologies.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in VHDL and/or Verliog field programmable gate array (FPGA) firmware development. Proficient with embedded system firmware modelling, simulation and debugging. Experience with one or more of the following development tools: MATLAB/Simulink, Xilinx Vivado, Vivado HLS, HDL Coder, SysML, GNU/Linux and Agile (JIRA/Confluence Wiki/Bitbucket)
