Job Description

A leading IT Security company is looking for a System Administrator to join their team in Macclesfield on a permanent basis.
This role would ideally suit an experienced system administrator looking for a gateway in to security.
Main Responsibilities of the System Administrator:

• Configuration, installation and maintenance of the network infrastructure including servers and managed network devices,
• Installation and hardening of laptops, thin clients and servers,
• Maintenance of VPN and firewall appliances,
• Creation, support and removal of user accounts,
• Maintenance of VoIP infrastructure,
• Supporting penetration testing team in conducting network and application penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.

Key Skills Required of the System Administrator:

• Deep understanding of Linux and Windows,
• Experience with open-source technologies such as pfSense and Proxmox,
• Experience working with Active Directory and group policy,
• Proven experience with networking and firewalling,

Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
