Act as the Senior Accounting Officer for the entity and the related processes
Be the main point of contact for all Accounting related topics
Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of all accounting postings including tax, pension and payroll
Conduct monthly reviews of Balance-Sheet positions to ensure all balances are substantiated
Review and sign-off all Balance-Sheet Reconciliations
Lead the interaction with the External Auditors
Prepare the annual statutory accounts and ensure sign-off and filing in line with agreed timelines
Main point of contact for WL Group Internal Control activities
Review and sign-off the quarterly closing files for internal controls
Document and maintain local accounting manual and procedures and ensure adherence to WL Group policies
Provide accounting guidance for commercial activities
Work closely with tax advisors for the preparation of the VAT submissions
Lead a team of 3 (1 UK based, 2 India based), proving day-to-day supervision, coaching and mentoring
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
ACCA/ACA qualified; Experience: Min. 5+ years PQE. A track record of delivery in financial accounting roles with the ability to lead remote teams in matrix structure. Proficient user of SAP (or other accounting system). Line Management and team development skills. Able to apply intellect and judgment to influence cross-functional colleagues. to act on financial recommendations in commercial decisions. Desire/ambition to learn, develop a further a career in finance. Proficient user of Excel (demonstrable prior experience). Highly numerate and analytical with strong attention to detail. Communicating with impact. Pragmatic approach to decision making. Pro-active and able to demonstrate initiative. Adapts to changing circumstances and takes a positive approach to dealing with change. Takes ownership and follows through on decisions and actions. Confident to speak up, challenge constructively and share her/his views.
