Job Description
As a Lead BRC Auditor you will plan and conduct professional management system audits to enable delivery of assessment and certification services that meet customer requirements and appropriate accreditation standards.
You’ll conduct audits in accordance with established procedures, maintaining a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective customer relationships, primarily for BRC Standards: Consumer Products.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be successful in this role, you will need extensive post qualification experience within certification of Consumer Products. Ideally you'll have experiencing in chemicals, papermaking, metal forming, rigid plastics, flexible plastics or print processes. You’ll need to demonstrate involvement with Quality Assurance or Technical and Risk management functions within manufacture, retailing, inspection or enforcement, and related to main qualification or relevant technology/industry. In addition to the above you’ll also need to demonstrate the following; Excellent working knowledge of management systems, standards and compliance/auditing techniques. Knowledge and understanding of specific fields of packaging. Demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of BRC management systems, standards, BRC compliance and auditing techniques, HACCP/risk analysis and certification requirements. A detailed understanding of the standards for which audits/technical reviews are being undertaken. Degree or diploma in packaging/food safety/hygiene qualification (with UK Level 3 equivalency) OR in a food or bioscience related discipline and a PIABC EQIPT or equivalent examination in packaging. Lead Auditor Qualification or ability to soon achieve. Industry recognized Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment training course of at least two day’s duration. BRC Understanding Requirements Courses with Merit pass. Industry recognized Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) based on the principles of Codex Alimentarius training course of at least two day’s duration. Alternatively, demonstrate competence in the understanding and application of HACCP principles.
