Job Description

Our client is a pioneering and globally recognized automotive manufacturer and parts supplier, based in Warwick. Due to continued investment, they are now looking to acquire the services of a highly capable Material Controller to work in their Supply Chain Team. This is a desirable opportunity to further your supply chain/logistics career within a thriving organization, initially on a 12-month fixed term contract.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience using SAP and a strong inventory management background.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for all External/Allied supplier goods receiving transactions into the 3PL warehouse. To ensure all appropriate documentation is available to receive and put away inbound goods.
• Management of Inbound booking plans to support warehouse capacities.
• Contact point for Warehouse issue resolution and defining key contact points within each 3PL facility.
• Resolution and communication of all external supplier shortages to ensure correct onward processing completed (debit note / credit note). Liaise with material controllers to complete review and action plan within a timely manner.
• Track stock discrepancies between 3PL & ERP system.
• Produce stock reconciliation reports in line with financial approval.
• Comply to Internal Control requirements, Accounting/Financial legal requirements and perform successful internal and external audits.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Previous experience relating to Supplier/3PL logistics is advantageous. Inventory management experience is essential. Experience within the Automotive, Aftermarket or Auto Part Distribution Industry is advantageous although not essential. Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of SAP. Excellent communication skills. Strategic Thinker with a can do attitude and ability to work under pressure. Ability to articulate clear vision into action plans Team player - comfortable leading key account relationships with a can do attitude and sense of humor.
