Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Dealing with staff, parent, pupil and supplier queries by phone, e-mail and letter
· Assisting with:
Daily maintenance of the receipts cash book
Analysis and coding of supplier invoices
Recharging of departmental or pupil accounts from supplier invoices
Monthly preparation of sales ledger invoices
Daily preparation of Purchase Orders and Good Receipts
Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements and appropriate follow up
Monthly scanning of documentation
Support pupil billing process
· Other administrative duties relating to the Bursary Department as requested by the Finance and Payroll Officer, Business Support Manager or Bursar.
The list above is not exhaustive and the Accounts Assistant will be required to undertake any other duties to ensure the efficient running of the Accounts function.
Performance Management
· Participate fully in the College’s Performance Development Review process and meetings and attend relevant and compulsory training as requested.

Annual Leave
· 21 days per year, plus 7 bank holidays (not included is the Early May bank holiday)
· A maximum of two weeks annual leave is permitted at any one time.
Working Hours
As a guideline, however we would expect:
· A minimum of 12 hours office hours per week, as directed, with occasional long and antisocial hours
· Student arrival weekend work may be required in September, January and April and during Summer School periods
· A commitment to attend student events which may take place in evenings and at weekends (i.e. Annual Prize Giving)
· Occasional ‘on call’ periods when the position holder will cover the college emergency duty phone

This is a generalist Accounts Assistant role which covers a wide range of accounts functions. The scope of the role is wide and varied and will require a broad understanding of a number of finance activities.
This is an evolving role. Considerable flexibility, adaptability and resilience is required in order to manage the expectations of a busy and fast paced environment, where we seek continuous improvement in what we do.
