Job Description

The post holder will help contribute towards the company being a provider of market leading financial support services and supplier of choice for its customers. The role will be responsible for contributing to an effective delivery strategy for the financial support services provided by the company, ensuring effective use of financial resources and people, consistently delivering successful outcomes and helping to manage financial risk. The role will support the operational delivery of financial support services to customers.
Work closely with the rest of the Finance Team to ensure delivery processes are consistent. This includes contributing towards continuous improvement of high quality, affordable financial processes, with focus on integration, efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Maintenance of standard operating procedures and ensuring their adherence.
  • Works close with the embedded financial management teams, other hub teams, customers and financial control function to meet common aims and objectives.
  • Actively contribute to a highly responsive Stakeholder and customer relationship management function.
  • Ensuring effective internal control is maintained, advising the Finance Control Manager of any weaknesses and helping to correct any problems.
  • To facilitate the implementation of the National Finance Spine agenda. Help embed systems and processes into the company and its customers, including help to co-ordinate local training activities.
  • Support development and implementation of cost improvement plans without compromising financial management and control.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve processes and systems, including greater automation, eliminating duplication, consolidation and standardisation.
  • Support the finance development agenda ensuring the Transaction Processing Team are kept up to date and adopt best practice.
  • Help to reduce internal KPIs to monitor finance function and process performance.
