Job Description

These posts will provide the opportunity to participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients with a Drug and/or Alcohol problems. The Integrated Substance Misuse Service provides care and treatment for individuals who are dependent on Opiates and/or Alcohol.

The post holder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team in the assessment and treatment of patients referred to the Integrated Substance Misuse Service. The post holder will hold a case load of patients and be responsible for the establishment and ongoing review of a care plan with each individual. The utilisation of motivational strategies will be a key part of the treatment delivered by the post holder. The focus of the treatment provided will be the recovery of the individual. The post holder will have a role in liaising with external social work teams, primary care, residential units and other partner agencies as part of the post.

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1, RNA, RN3 or RNMH or Sub-part 2: RN2 or RN4 of the NMC Register
