Your new firm
A forward thinking and fast growing accountancy firm based in Manchester City Centre are looking to recruit an ambitious qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) to join the compliance team as a Senior Associate. This firm act on behalf of a diverse range of clients from small OMBs through to large group structures providing a well rounded compliance and advisory service.

Having experienced continued growth over the past two years, the firm are now looking to strengthen their compliance team with this appointment.

Your new role
As a Senior Associate you will report into the senior manager but take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients. Your clients will range from smaller business with turnovers up to 50k through to 10 million t/o larger business and groups where you will undertake accounting, tax and potentially some audit engagements.

Day to day duties will include liaising with clients to manage expectations, undertaking accounting and tax engagements, delegating and reviewing bookkeeping and accounts work, finalising accounts, training and mentoring junior staff and acting as a key point of contact for your clients to ensure any value add opportunities or advisory projects are spotted and acted upon.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are seeking an experienced general practice accountant who has experience covering a range of general compliance services and a strong knowledge of FRS102. Ideally you will be ACA / ACCA qualified (QBE applications will be considered) and be able to demonstrate prior experience of team management and mentoring.

As this job opportunity has some management duties you must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and be a team player.
