Job Description

Whilst delivering the day to day essentials

Managing the delivery of internal communications, engagement and wellbeing improvement strategies, events and workshops and general business management activities. We are looking for a driven, self-motivated team player who is adaptable to changing priorities and business needs.

Accountabilities include

  • At a project level, the role holder should lead and ensure key strategic and projects are delivered in accordance with internal, project methodology process’ and governance structures. Projects to include:
    • Diversity taskforce and anti-racism agenda for Directorate
    • Customer Programme & Group development
    • Digital Workplace development
    • A new internal communications strategy including overseeing the build of SharePoint site
  • Programme management of specified, measurable deliverables under the Customer Programme. Develop and implement work plans in accordance with directorate changing priorities.
  • Managing and reporting on the strategic performance of the Customer and Revenue directorate and proactively seeking out improvement opportunities and issue resolution for the whole team
  • Work with key business partners to ensure appropriate support for the function  e.g. HRS, IM, Facilities, Finance and other service providers
  • Manage Senior stakeholder queries and oversee and quality check Band 2 outputs and general queries.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Knowledge

  • A degree in a relevant subject or equivalent professional qualifications or suitable professional experience. 
  • Knowledge of business management and programme management disciplines and processes
  • A good working knowledge of SharePoint sites
  • Knowledge of Finance processes, developing budgets and business cases and Project management
  • Knowledge and understanding of the changing landscape of the future of work

Ability to identify opportunities to deliver efficiencies in processes Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent data analysis and presentation skills Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people at all levels Highly organised and self-motivated, able to prioritise effectively to meet numerous competing deadlines Highly proficient in the use of software packages including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience of developing policies and processes in a challenging multidisciplinary environment Experience of working with a wide range of internal stakeholders with competing objectives and priorities Experience of handling and responding to sensitive and confidential information Experience of delivering projects
